Youghal harbour

Eight new moorings have been installed in Youghal harbour by Cork County Council for visiting boats which will enhance tourism in the town. Cork County Council has secured planning for a public floating pontoon at Nealon’s Quay to allow for more visiting boats in the future. A public consultation process took place and there were no objections to the plans put forward.Youghal has superb maritime resources situated on the Blackwater estuary in a scenic part of East Cork. The beaches are excellent and the boardwalk  is very popular among locals and tourists. The multi-million investment in a modern wastewater treatment plant will also be of great benefit.

Clock Gate Tower

The opening of the Clock Gate Tower and other recent large funding allocations for St Mary’s Collegiate Church and the Town Walls and the official opening of the Raleigh Quarter have also served to boost Youghal’s touristic appeal.
