Cork East Fine Gael TD and Minister of State for Justice, David Stanton, today published a report “Developments in the Gambling Area”, which is based on research the Minister commissioned into changes that have occurred in the gambling sector  since 2013.

The report identified recent developments in the areas of gambling technological innovation, legislation and policy issues. The Principal Investigator of the study was Dr Crystal Fulton from UCD and the report forms part of a general review process of the regulation of the gambling sector in Ireland, with a view to early legislative action based on the General Scheme of the Gambling Control Bill published in 2013.
