Cork East Fine Gael TD, David Stanton, has congratulated the students of local secondary schools who he met at the BT Young Scientist 2015 exhibition in the RDS last Wednesday, 7th January.
“I was delighted to have the opportunity to engage with students of five second level schools from Youghal, Midleton and Mallow and get a chance to see their entries into this year’s competition. I was extremely impressed by the ability and enthusiasm of the students from Pobalscoil na Trionoide, Youghal, St Mary’s High School, Midleton, Midleton College, the Patrician Academy and St Mary’s Secondary School in Mallow.
“In addition to the students, credit should also be given to the student’s teachers, and the schools, who assist with advice and support. Each year I attend the young scientist exhibition, I am amazed by the very diverse level of the entries and the high standards of the students’ projects. It makes me very hopeful for the future”, said Deputy Stanton.
