Cork East Fine Gael TD, David Stanton has welcomed the news that funding has been approved fo works to stabilise the sea wall at Moll Goggins Corner in Youghal.
“I have been notified by the Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar TD that the transfer of €242,500 within Cork County Council’s budget has been approved to enable the Council to carry out essential work at Moll Goggins Corner. I understand that this money will be used initially for stabilisation work on the section of road which collapsed earlier this year”, said Deputy Stanton
“Funding for any further works, once designed, will be included in Cork County Council’s specific grant application to the Department of Transport and the National Roads Authority for 2013”.
