Cork East Fine Gael TD, David Stanton has welcomed the Department of Social Protection Decision to continue funding Carrigtwohill Community Council Ltd under the Community Services Programme. Funding to the value of €38,066 per annum will be used to support the continued operation of the community centre in Carrigtwohill from 2016 to 2018.

“I am very pleased that the work of Carrigtwohill Community Council Ltd is being acknowledged by the Government and funding is being continued. The community centre in Carrigtwohill is a fantastic facility for local people and it offers a wide range of family and community services.

“In addition to Carrigtwohill Community Council Ltd, Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services Ltd who offer youth, family and community services in a number of locations in my constituency of Cork East were also successful if having their annual funding of €38,066 renewed for the operation of their community centre in Mallow.
