David Stanton TD welcomed Fine Gael party leader Enda Kenny TD to Midleton on Friday, 18th February 2011. As part of his national election campaign tour of Cork East Constituency, Enda Kenny, visited Midleton Park Hotel to meet with more than 100 supporters.
“I was delighted to see such a large group of well-wishers assemble at Midleton Park Hotel to welcome Enda to this part of East Cork. In addition to members of Fine Gael, canvassers and other supporters, a large group of the recently established East Cork branch of Young Fine Gael was also present at the event.
“It was very encouraging to see such a level of support for our party leader and for Fine Gael in general. The turnout was especially impressive when you consider the awful wet weather. I really hope that people’s support and enthusiasm translates into votes on polling day”, said Deputy Stanton.
“I would also like to thank all my supporters who showed up on the day and also who have so generously given up their time to assist with postering and canvassing over the last few weeks. I am very grateful to everyone, I would not have a campaign without their help”, concluded David Stanton TD.
