Minister for Defence (Mr Tony Killeen, T.D.): There are currently a total of 732 civilian employees. It is anticipated that there will be 700 civilian employees by the end of this year with estimated savings of €700,000 accruing in 2011 as a result of the reduction in employee numbers. Civilian employees are based at various military installations in every Brigade area.
