Cork East Fine Gael TD, David Stanton TD has called for road safety measures to be put in place on the section of the N25 which runs from Midleton to Youghal.
“The N25 is one of the busiest roads in the country with a speed limit of 100km per hour. There are a number of very dangerous intersections, and while thankfully there have been no serious accidents there yet, the residents at Carrigshane and Cahermone in particular are very concerned.
“I have written to the National Roads Authority, the Road Safety Authority and Cork County Council seeking to have improvements made to this section of the N25. I hope that some measure can be introduced to improve road safety there
